Fine turned & carved ivory chess set one side stained red other side left natural , white king stamped with the makers mark of William Lund of 24 Fleet Street London. Set comes in original leather coverd case with lift out tray fitted for pieces, case also stamped 'W.Lund MAKER 24 FLEET STREET'. William Lund was one of the most famous Makers of the 19th century he was later joined by his son Thomas Lund in the 1870s who also produced sets of high quality.
