Unusual fine turned & carved ivory chess set, one side stained red other side left natural, Kings with open pierced crowns , white king with fluer-de-lis finial, red king with Prince-of-Wales feathers, queens with open pierced crowns and ball finials, bishops with large open mitres, knights as fine carved horses heads with flared nostrils, rooks as monbloc towers with fine brickwork decoration to towers & top blocks, tops with large carved flags with spear tips.

Set stylisticly has influences from Lund pattern sets, but the unusual differnet finials to kings, open crowns & superb rooks make this a interesting and quite unusual Set.
