Fine turned bone selenus chess set , one side stained brown other side left natural. Comes with period oak & fruitwood board with moulded edges.

The term Selenus comes from a design in Gustavus Selenus, Leipzig 1616. The design of set was prevelant through out Germany & Austria up to the mid 19th century.
