Spassky V Fischer commemorative chess Set , one side in silver other side in silver-gilt. Each side locks together to form an interlocking tube. All pieces of solid silver, hallmarks stamped for London 1972, with leather & silver folding chess board all squares hallmarked. In fitted case.

Chess set was designed by Cy Endfield being the official set commissioned by F.I.D.E to commemorate the Chess World Championship of 1972 between Fischer & Spassky.

This set is great example as it still retains its official F.I.D.E. silver stamp (see image 2) most sets have this missing.
