Spassky V Fischer commemorative chess Set , one side in solid silver other side in solid silver-gilt. Each side locks together to form an interlocking tube. All pieces of solid silver, hallmarks stamped for London 1972, with leather & solid silver folding chess board all squares hallmarked. In fitted case with silver F.I.D.E. stamp to case.

Chess set was designed by Cy Endfield being the official set commissioned by F.I.D.E to commemorate the Chess World Championship of 1972 between Fischer & Spassky.

Set comes with original certificate stating this set being the 66 from 650 made.
This set is great example as it still retains its official F.I.D.E. silver stamp most sets have this missing.
