Circa 1840-1860
An unusual and fine turned carved English playing set in the manner of Lund. One side in ebony other side boxwood , pieces same quality as the more common Ivory sets with excellent detailed knights.
The over all design and high qualty turning would indicate this set coming from a good London makers workshop such as Lund or Jaques.

All the sets go through a professional workshop before they go online, any minor faults such as chips or splits are restored, therefore the sets are all in excellent condition.
