Large English turned & carved chessmen , one side in boxwood other side ebony.
Pieces with attractive multi turned bodies, knights as detailed carved horses heads, rooks as towers. Chessmen with blue baize to bases.
Chessmen retain original polished finish.
Chessmen housed in same period oak lift top box with blue felt lined interior. The box lid with inset brass shield cartouche.
Same period English mahogany framed chess board with mitre edges. The squares inlaid in mahogany & boxwood.
Chessboard retains original French polished finish.
