REF992 English weighted Staunton Set
Circa 1870-1900
Ebony & boxwood Staunton pattern chess set. The pieces with loaded bases and green baize. An attractive design with well carved styalised horses heads , rook crenelations similar to the Jaques Staunton design , the pieces retain a good original French polished finish.
Comes in a mahogany lift top chess box with green baize interior approx same period as set.
Kings 8.7 cm Tall.
