Circa 1840-1870

Folding backgammon / chess board of rosewood, the exterior inlaid in rosewood and boxwood squares forming a chess board the border inlaid in king wood. The interior inlaid to form a backgammon board the points of boxwood & king wood with detail central panels inlaid to represent chess boards.

A fine made example with excellent rich grained rosewood and good detailed inlays.

Board comes with thirty backgammon pieces of boxwood & ebony with turned bone dice shaker and two bone dice, same period as board.
