Fine ebony & boxwood Staunton chess set by Jaques of London. White king stamped “JAQUES LONDON” , king side rooks & knights with crown stamps.
All pieces with loaded bases and green baize. Retains original french polished finish.
Kings 9 cm Tall
Set comes with original mahogany lift top box with Jaques paper trade label to lid also included is an English folding tooled leather chess board.
These historic Jaques sets all come with signed authors copy of the Jaques collectors guide and insurance valuation.
