Large turned & carved English chessmen , one side boxwood other side ebony. Pieces with multi turned decorated bodies, knights as fine carved horses heads, pieces retain original French polished finish. An attractive good sized playing set in the St George style.
Chessmen come in original mahogany lift top box.
With same period mahogany framed English chess board , the squares inliad of boxwood & rosewood. Retains original French polished finish.
