Circa 1840-60
Fine turned & carved Burmese pattern set, one side stained red other side natural.
Kings with decorated double collars , kings, queens & bishops with carved faces, knights as fine carved horses heads with reins, rooks as towers surrmounted by flags.
These sets although known as the Burmese pattern were made in Canton / Macao for the export market.
