Fine carved ivory chess set one side stained red other side natural. The pieces representing on the red side King George III and court with the white side as Chinese emporor and court.

The pieces superbly carved with thick pieces of ivory in a fine flowing carving typical of the early 19th century.

The rooks carved as elephants with large towers and warriors holding spears a top the towers, knights as mounted warriors, bishops as manderins / priests, the pawns represented as foot soilders.
