Circa 1790-1820

Fine Indian Ivory Chess set, one side left natural other side stained green, Kings & Queens with attractive carved open crowns. Rooks as detailed towers , bishops with carved decorated mitres and knights as horses heads.

A good  example of fine turning and carving from Vizagapatam a renowed carving and export centre in Sothern India.
