Fine English chess board presented from Nottingham Mechanics chess club in 1877 to A.T Marriot.

The board mahogany framed with mitred edges and boxwood and rosewood inlaid squares , retaing an excellent original French polished finish. The frame with silver plaque ” Nottm Mechanics Chess Club  Presidents Price 1877 won by A T MARRIOTT”
