Circa 1895
Ebony & boxwood Royal pattern set by British Chess Company of Stroud Glos. King side Rooks with crown stamps to tops, Kingside knights with crown stamps to bases.
Set retains an excellent French polished finish.
Set comes in original Stained pine dove tailed slide lid box with BCC Royal pattern paper trade label to side , the label stating this set is size 3 series , which means the kings are 10 CM Tall.
