English ebony & boxwood weighted Staunton set, Both kings stamped “JAQUES LONDON” . King side rooks & knights with crown stamps, all pieces with loaded bases and green baize.

Set comes in original mahogany lift top box with Jaques paper trade label to lid. Intetresting the label signed in pen R. Douglas Paul O.B.E.

Paul Douglas was awarded Order of the British Empire Aircrew.

Set retains an excellent original French polished finish.

Kings 9 CM Tall.
