Large fine detailed Ivory export chess set from Southern India. One side natural ivory other side stained black. Pieces with attractive gadrooned decoration to bodies , kings & queens with pierced decorated galleries and tops, knights as fine carved horses heads.

A fine large example of the master ivory carvers of the early 19th century in Southern India.
