Octagonal Chess table of Shisham wood, inlaid in Ivory & ebony. The top inlaid in a variety of floral and geometric paterns, the middle inlaid as a chess board in ivory and ebony.

The table with Ivory Islamic chess set, ones side natural the other with blue decorated bands. The turned pieces in typical Islamic shapes.

The chess pieces come in Shisham wood slide lid box profously decorated with floral and geometric patterns.

The table & chess set from Hoshiarpur in Northern India. These pieces were made at the end of the 19th century in response to the growing fashion in Europe of Moorish & Arab furniture.
