Fine gilt tooled leather English folding games box , the exterior with tooled leather chess board and sides representing a book with elaborate gilt decorated spines inscribed “BRITISH SPORTS” Vol 1 & 2 . The interior with tooled leather backgammon board with gilt decoration.

With thirty turned bone English backgammon counters , boxwood turned shaker and a bone dice. Same period as board.

Board open 46 cm x 38 cm Squares 4.4 cm
