Circa 1849-1870

Fine carton pierre & leather board stamped “Leuchars Piccadilly” the exterior with carton Pierre decoration in the Neogothic style, the inerior with red & cream leather chess board.

These fine boards were first made by Leuchars of London to compliment the Jaques chess sets. The Carton Pierre board matches with the Jaques Carton Pierre casket that the chess pieces were sold in.

RESTORATION

All the sets go through a professional workshop before they go online, any minor faults such as chips or splits are restored, therefore the sets are all in excellent condition.
