Fine turned Danish bone playing set one side stained red other side left natural.

Pieces with attractive slender turned stems. Kings & queens with petal galleries, rooks and bishops with conical / ball finials typical of the Danish pattern.

Set comes in original pine slide lid box also with 19th century mahogany framed chess board.
