Turned & carved Mammoth ivory Staunton pattern chess set one side left natural other side stained red.
A good size example with fine detailed knights.
The material is over ten thousand years old!
These sets were made in Canton for the western export market.
Set comes with an English walnut chess board box , the interior lined for backgammon, same period as set.
