Weighted English ebony & boxwood Staunton set, white king stamped “JAQUES LONDON” . King side rooks & knights with crown stamps, all pieces with loaded bases bases and green baize.
Set comes in original mahogany lift top box with Jaques paper trade label to lid. Also fine quality mahogany framed board with rosewood & boxwood inlaid squares same period as set.
Set retains an excellent original French polished finish.
