Circa 1900-1910
English ebony & boxwood weighted Staunton set, Both kings stamped “JAQUES LONDON” . King side rooks & knights with crown stamps, all pieces with loaded bases and green baize. Pieces retain an excellent French polished finish.
Set comes in original mahogany lift top box with Jaques paper trade label to lid. The box still has the original working key (a rarity).
These historic Jaques sets all come with signed authors copy of the Jaques collectors guide and insurance valuation.
