English ebony & boxwood weighted Staunton set, both kings stamped “JAQUES LONDON” . King side rooks & knights with crown stamps, all pieces with loaded bases and baize.
In original mahogany lift top box with Jaques paper trade label to lid.
Set comes with vintage walnut chess board
These historic Jaques sets all come with signed authors copy of the Jaques collectors guide.
Set retains an excellent original French polished finish.
