Circa 1850-1880
Large bone playing set one side stained red other side left natural. The kings & queens with “barleycorn” decorated bodies, rooks as towers surromunted by flags.
A fine good sized example of the “barleycorn” design.
Set comes in mahogany lift top box and tooled ealther folding chess board same period as the pieces.
