Turned & carved Mammoth ivory Staunton pattern chess set one side left natural other side stained red.

A good size example with fine detailed knights.

The material is over ten thousand years old!

These sets were made in Canton for the western export market.

Set comes with original Canton laquered folding chess board , the reverse lined for backgammon and original Canton laquered box with gilded motif to top.
