REF1604 Large Canton Ivory Set
Circa 1800-1830

Fine large carved ivory chess set, one side stained red other side left natural, this design of set is known as the Burmese pattern although the sets never originated from Burma, they were made in Canton for the western export market.

This particular set has deep fine carved detail, kings, queens and bishops with carved faces to tops. rooks as fine carved towers.

Kings 11.5 cm Tall.

All the sets go through a professional workshop before they go online, any minor faults such as chips or splits are restored, therefore the sets are all in excellent condition.
