REF1630 Fine Bone English playing set, box & board.
Circa 1840-1870
Fine turned & carved English playing set in the manner of Lund London.One side stained red other side left natural. Pieces with excellent turned decorated bodies. Knights as fine carved horses, rooks as towers. The design of the set is typical of Lund pattern sets made in the mid 19th century.
Set comes with original attractive rosewood chess box, with fitted interior of burgundy felt.
The set comes with a folding English tooled leather chess board circa 1900-1930.
