Boxwood & rosewood playing set , both boxwood rooks stamped “CALVERT 189 FLEET St” . Pieces with fine turned pieces , good uniformity and fine carved knights typical of this great maker.
Set comes with mahogany lift top box same period as set.
Kings 11 CM Tall.
All the sets go through a professional workshop before they go online, any minor faults such as chips or splits are restored, therefore the sets are all in excellent condition.
