Rare pattern bone playing set one side stained red , other side left natural. Main pieces with petal shaped galleries, rooks as turrets upon stems and slender well turned pawns.

This rare design not often seen , has been catogorised as Swiss , German or Austrian in the past.

Set comes with original softwood slide lid box.

Set also comes with attractive fruitwood & oak chess board of mainland European origin same period as the chessmen.
