English ebony & boxwood weighted Staunton set, both kings stamped “JAQUES LONDON” . King side rooks & knights with crown stamps, all pieces with loaded bases and green baize.
Set comes in original mahogany lift top box with Jaques paper trade label to lid.
Set comes with “Staunton chess plahyers handbook” 1935 edition.
Set retains an excellent original French polished finish.
Kings 9 cm Tall.
These historic Jaques sets all come with signed authors copy of the Jaques collectors guide and insurance valuation.
All the sets go through a professional workshop before they go online, any minor faults such as chips or splits are restored, therefore the sets are all in excellent condition.
