Fine large Indian ivory export chess set, one side stained green other side left natural.
Kings 11.5 CM Tall
The set was made in Vizagapatam India, being one of the finest areas of its time for ivory carving. All pieces carved with elaborate foliate decoration, bishops with pierced miters, knights as horses heads with decorated ranes, rooks as brick work decorated towers surmounted by flags.
