REF1807 Leuchars chess board
Circa 1849-1870
Fine carton pierre & leather board stamped “Leuchars Piccadilly” the exterior with carton Pierre decoration in the Neogothic style, the inerior with red & tan leather chess board.
These fine boards were first made by Leuchars of London to compliment the Jaques chess sets. The Carton Pierre board matches with the Jaques Carton Pierre casket that the chessmen were sold in.
