Fine chess board box the exterior of Satinwood with raised ebony banding, the chess squares inlaid in boxwood & ebony. The interior with baize to base of interior & ebony inlaid rim.
The material used and quality of manufacture similar to beidermeier furniture of the 19th century.
Board box retains original french polished finish.
