Fine turned & carved bone chessmen one side stained red other side left natural. Kings & queens with carved galleries to stems, bishops with cap & conical mitre, knights as fine carved horses. The Kings , queens , bishops & rooks with opposing colour finials.
Set comes in same period mahogany lift top box.
Set with attractive oak & boxwood inlaid chess board same period as the chessmen, the board with inlaid boxwood square and star decorated motifs.
