Circa last half 20th century.
Fine baltic amber carved bust chess set. Both sides carved & turned in yellow amber , Kings & queens as busts of monarchs, knights as horses heads, rooks as towers, bishops as priests and bust pawns.
Set comes with original fine worked amber folding chess board the interior lined in velvet to store the pieces.
