Large French Staunton weighted chessmen , one side natural boxwood opposing side ebonised boxwood. The large pieces with loaded and felted bases.
Set retains original French polished finish.

These great playing sets were made by Lardy of Dortan France. Lardy made chess sets from 1890 throughout the 20th century.
