Fine turned & carved English chessmen one side boxwood other side ebony. Pieces with multi turned decorated bodies, knights as carved horses heads. Set retains original French polished finish.
Comes with simialr period chess board inlaid in mahogany & satinwood.
Original mahogany lift top box with silver plated shield engraved with Initials and “1897” date.
