Fine turned & carved Continental European chessmen , one side boxwood other side ebonised. The pieces with bulbous turned bodies, knights as detailed carved heads, rooks as tapered towers. The pieces retain original French polished finish.
Chessmen come in original stained pine slide lid box.
Comes with good quality mahogany framed chess board, the squares inlaid in mahogany & satinwood. The board similar age to chessmen.
