Circa 1870 - 1900
Fine turned & carved English Staunton pattern chessmen , one side in ebony other side in boxwood. Pieces retain an excellent polished finish. The chessmen were made by Feltham of London , knights and shape of pieces typical of this maker. All pieces with green felted bases.
The chessmen housed in an English folding chessboard of mahogany the squares inlaid in rosewood & boxwood. The fine board retains an excellent original French polished finish.
