Fine Staunton chessmen one side boxwood other side ebonised. The pieces with baize bases and pegged to fit original mahogany framed chessboard , the squares inlaid in boxwood & rosewood with central holes to fix the chessmen.

These high quality chess sets were often used for travel such as steamer ships or trains as the pieces were secure from the movement of travelling.
