REF3332 English St George Chessmen, Board.
Circa 1850-1880

English chesmen , one side in rosewood other side in boxwood. The turned & carved pieces in the St George pattern. The set is attributed to Jaques of London as the design of knight and pieces are typical of this maker.

Set retains original french polished finish.

Chessmen with an English mahogany chess board, the board inlaid with boxwood & rosewood inlaid squares. the interior  as a backgammon board. The Board also dating same period as the chessmen.

These are genuine antiques! Great to play and a good investment.
