An Irish Killarney ware Chess and backgammon box board. The board of Arbutus wood and satinwood with two inlaid stainwood panels depicting Mucruss abbey & the other Depicting Castle ruins in Killarney.
The corners of the chess border with inlaid fern descoration.
The interior inlaid in Arbutus wood & various native Irish wood to form a backgammon board. The central panels inlaid to represent Irish Harps’s and Shamrock’s.
The backgammon board with same period turned boxwood dice shaker, set of four dice and multiplier.
With 15 boxwood & ebony backgammon counters same period as the backgammon board.
