Fine German bone playing set , one side stained red other side left natural. Pieces with multi tunred decorated stems. from the master turners of Nuremburg.
The set comes in same period mahogany slide lid box to keep the opposing chessmen.
Set comes with same period ebonised framed chess board with satinwood & ebony inlaid squares with kingwood inlaid border.
