German bone playing set one side stained red other side left natural. from the master turners of Nuremburg. This type of playing sets design is known as the spindle pattern with slender turned bodies.
Set comes in original pine slide lid box with mitre peg sides.
With similar period mahogany framed chess board with boxwood & rosewood inlaid squares.
