English rosewood & boxwood turned chessmen , pieces with multi turned bodies, rooks as towers , knights as carved horses heads, kings with St George style tops.
The pieces with original french polished finish , rich grain to rosewood.
The chessmen come with same period English mahogany folding chess board, the exterior with rosewood & boxwood inlaid chess board, the interior inliad for backgammon.
