Large ebony & boxwood Edinbro pattern set by London makers Jaques. The shape of kings tops , knights heads and style of other pieces identical from Jaques of London pattern book, for further information see “Jaques collectors guide” page 41.
Set retain an excellent original French polished finish.
Set comes with original mahogany slide lid box typical of Jaques manufacture. Interior lined in velvet.
Kings 13.5 cm Tall. Bishops 10 cm Tall . Pawns 7 cm Tall
