Fine turned & carved German chessmen in the Selenus pattern, The chessmen of bone one side stained dark brown other side left natural. A fine turned example from the mastercraftsmen of Nuremberg Germany.
Pieces come in mahogany dovetailed chess box & fine walnut framed chess board with parquetry inlaid border with mahogny & birds eye maple squares, same period as the chessmen.
